Shaun Crawford is an award winning composer and orchestrator originating from South Africa.
His recent projects include providing orchestrations on John Powell’s score to THAT CHRISTMAS (dir. Simon Otto) for Netflix, as well as to Danny Elfman’s Suite for Chamber Orchestra which premiered at the Washington Library of Congress.
He was lead orchestrator and additional composer on the Netflix film, SEAL TEAM (starring J. K. Simmons, Jessie T. Usher and Kristen Schaal) and co-orchestrated the wildly popular strategy game, MANOR LORDS due to release in April 2024 on Xbox.
He co-wrote the score to GOOD HOPE directed by Anthony Fabian (Mrs Harris Goes To Paris), provided additional music on Netflix’s JUNGLE BEAT: THE MOVIE (dir. Brent Dawes) as well as cowrote the score to the 3rd and 7th season of the hit animated TV series, SUPA STRIKAS on Disney XD.
Shaun studied the piano under Darius Brubeck and holds tertiary degrees in jazz, electroacoustic music and a masters degree in composition.
He is an ASCAP Richard Bellis Film Score Program alumni and was named one of ASCAP’s ‘Composers To Watch’ alongside Oscar nominated composer Nicholas Britell (Succession) and Grammy winning composer and pianist Emily Bear.
